A Day You Don't Want To End

Wow! What a beautiful day! It was sunny with a high of 75. After church, we decided to try out a Chinese restaurant next to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. It was delicious! We got there around 2, so we were the only ones in the restaurant and got a lot of attention from the manager. It was such a nice day that we felt like going on an adventure. So, we decided to go get something for dinner at a new (to us) grocery store, Central Market, that some friends had recommended. It was an amazing experience.

Outside of a lot of Target stores, there are these huge red balls. Stephanie has always loved playing around them, counting them, etc. At this store, they had huge sculptures of vegetables. Very cute. Stephanie and Daddy posed by the green pepper for a picture.

They had set up a cute little pumpkin/squash patch inside the entry. Stephanie had a great time looking at all the odd shaped squash, gourds and pumpkins.

The store itself is very impressive. Christian and I both had a great time. They have a bunch of things to sample (great for little girls hungry for a snack). For the next couple of weeks, they are also giving out beer samples. Christian sampled the Chili beer (there is a chili pepper in each bottle) and picked up a 6 pack! ha ha! I tasted it and it was very good, but too spicy for me. The cheese section is one of the best ones we have ever seen. The "coup de grace", though, was the dicovery of a playground just outside the beautiful cafe area. After we picked up a nice selection of sausages to grill for dinner and a few snacks, we sat outside and let Stephanie play for a while. It was beautiful and everyone was having a great time. As we sat there, Christian sighed and said, "This is just one of those days you don't want to end."

On the way home, all 3 of my passengers fell asleep. I switched the car's CD player to Phil Keaggy acoustic guitar music and quietly sipped a chai tea latte as the sun set behind us. Aaaaaah.
